What will you be doing?
As Sous Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef, assisting in overseeing the kitchen operations and ensuring your team delivers the ultimate dining experience to our guests. You’ll help maintain the quality and consistency of the dishes, manage the kitchen equipment, and monitor the quality of ingredients. You’ll also be responsible for coordinating the team and ensuring smooth operations, even in a fast-paced environment. Outside the kitchen, you will support cost management, scheduling, and the training and development of your kitchen colleagues. Teamwork is key, and your communication skills ensure a positive atmosphere.
Who are you?
- You have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a kitchen management role.
- You are available for 32-40 hours per week.
- You are willing to work evenings and weekends.
- You can speak and write in Dutch or English.
- You are familiar with hygiene and food safety regulations (HACCP).
- You have a passion for seafood and a strong understanding of seafood dishes.
- You are a stress-resistant team player.
- You reside in Amsterdam or the surrounding area.
Employment Benefits: The Essentials
- Salary ranging from €2800 to €3500 per month.
- Monthly tips averaging €700 in cash (based on a full-time contract).
- Quarterly bonuses of up to €800.
