Job requirements

What will you be doing? 

As a sous-chef at The Seafood Bar, you will lead the kitchen team and filleting and preparing fresh seafood. You ensure that everything in the kitchen runs smoothly and that the team works with a smile. You are the right-hand person of the head chef. Together, you are responsible for creating the finest dishes and maintaining the condition of the kitchen equipment. You also check the quality of the freshly delivered seafood and inspect the dishes leaving the pass. Outside the kitchen, you support the head chef in cost control, scheduling, and the training and development of your kitchen colleagues.


Who are you?

  • You have experience in managing a kitchen and a kitchen team.
  • You are available for 32-40 hours per week.
  • You enjoy working on weekdays and weekends.
  • You can speak and write in Dutch. 
  • You live nearby or in Utrecht. 
  • You are familiar with hygiene and food safety regulations (HACCP).
  • You have a passion for seafood and possess knowledge about it.
  • You are communicative.
  • You are a stress-resistant team player.
  • You are critical and have a strong sense of responsibility.
